The SayPro NPO Web Design Competition invites participants to design and develop a website that not only communicates the NPO’s mission but also actively engages its audience while supporting its digital needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
✔ Design an Engaging and Visually Appealing Website
- Create an intuitive, clean, and professional design that reflects the NPO’s branding and mission.
- Ensure easy navigation and an accessible user interface for a positive user experience.
✔ Develop a Fully Functional Website
- Ensure that the website is responsive, meaning it must perform seamlessly across all devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
- Build the website on a solid technical foundation, ensuring robust functionality and smooth operation.
✔ Integrate Key Features
Participants are expected to implement essential features that serve the NPO’s core functions, such as:
- Donation Systems – Develop easy-to-use, secure donation portals to allow site visitors to contribute financially to the NPO’s cause.
- Event Calendars – Create a calendar feature that allows the NPO to list and promote upcoming events, workshops, or fundraisers.
- Volunteer Registration Forms – Integrate user-friendly volunteer sign-up forms to collect participant information and manage volunteer recruitment.
- Contact Forms – Allow users to easily get in touch with the NPO through clear and functional contact forms.
✔ Optimize for Performance
- Ensure the website loads quickly and is optimized for mobile use to enhance user experience.
- Build the website with search engine optimization (SEO) best practices in mind for better visibility.
✔ Ensure Accessibility
- Adhere to WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to ensure that the website is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
✔ Collaborate with NPO Representatives
- Gather feedback from the assigned NPO to tailor the website to its specific goals and needs.
- Regularly communicate with the NPO to make sure the design aligns with its expectations.
✔ Deliver Documentation and Support
- Provide clear instructions for ongoing website maintenance and updates.
