🖋️ SayPro Talent Show – Short Biography or Group Profile Requirement

Helping Us Tell Your Story

As part of the registration process for the SayPro Talent Show on 20 June 2025, all individual participants and group acts are required to submit a short biography or group profile. This information allows us to properly introduce you on stage, promote your performance, and showcase your journey to the audience and judges.

🎯 Purpose of the Bio/Profile

Your biography or group profile helps SayPro:

• Introduce you to the audience with a personal touch
• Highlight your background, interests, and artistic journey
• Promote you in event materials (program booklets, social media, livestream captions)
• Celebrate your unique identity and achievements

🧑‍🎤 For Individual Participants (Solo Performers):

Your short biography should include:

• Your full name
• Your age and city/country of residence
• Your talent or performance type (e.g., singing, dancing, poetry)
• A few sentences about your background (e.g., when you started your talent, why you love it, who inspires you)
• Any notable achievements, experiences, or dreams (optional)

Example:

My name is Ayanda Ndlovu. I’m 14 years old from Durban, South Africa. I’ve been dancing since I was 7 and I love mixing traditional African dance with modern styles. Performing helps me express myself and connect with my culture. My dream is to one day open a dance studio in my community.

👯‍♀️ For Group Acts:

Your group profile should include:

• The name of the group
• The number of members and their age range
• The type of act (e.g., choir, dance group, family band)
• A brief history or background of the group (e.g., how and when the group formed)
• A few sentences about the group’s mission, values, or passion for performing
• Any group achievements or community involvement (optional)

Example:

We are “Voices of Unity,” a 6-member singing group from Johannesburg. Our members are between 13 and 17 years old. We met in school and started performing together at local events to promote youth positivity and togetherness. We believe music is a powerful tool to bring people together and make change.

📏 Length and Format:

• Keep it between 100 to 150 words
• Write in the first person (for individuals) or third person (for groups)
• Submit in English or [Insert Local Language Options, if applicable]
• You may attach a photo (optional but encouraged) for event promotion
